Well Then. Funny how going to art school leaves me with no time to do art...
Well, you'll probably see some comic-book style work, fanart, or game concept drawings on here it looks like. I'm slowly inching my way out of anime, though I do indulge in reading some good ol' FAKE every now and then. If I'm not doing Drawing or homework, then I'm either playing video games, or I'm dead. I enjoy the Sam Fisher, and City of Heroes when I'm feeling masochistic, and I also enjoy every good game out for the X-Box. Of course, good is subjective since I think the good games are the Splinter Cell series, Oblivion, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed and... CoD 4, I guess. Of course, I'm an artistic prick, so most likely any of the console-tards out there will most likely disagree with me and drool all over Halo and Gears of War. Or Bioshock.
Well, I am happy to say (Though nobody ever reads this thing ) That Hitman is probably *the* best movie adaptation of a video game to DATE. Storyline got a little weird with there being a supporting actress in it, but the previews just don't do the movie justice. I was happy to see a lot of the stealth elements of the game incorporated into the story, and though the movie kinda skimped on 47's origins, it kept true to the game for most of it. Worth seeing if you have the money, and worth a DVD buy for me.
What's even better is how hilariously ignorant people are when reviewing movies based off of other subject matter these days. I've heard (and read) several reviews claiming the acting was bad, when it is quite to the contrary. IF, these ignorant mudslinging cockbags we like to call reviewers yeah I went there had even bothered to check out a demo of the game (It's not hard, you can download a demo from www.hitman.com or just watch the plethora of videos on that site) they would know that Agent 47's personality is about as dynamic as Gordon Freeman's, but because of his sheer unwavering monotone voice makes the character that much more badass. Besides, who in their right mind can knock a movie that has THE most realistic bullet wounds, ever? Unlike the pansy movies of our time where parents take their kids to R rated movies then bitch and moan, this one has full realism out the arse. 7.62 mm rounds coming from 4km away into target's nasal cavity = oodles and oodles of blood and chunky bits. Mmm... brains.
Meanwhile, I'm busy slacking on my other PS projects, but I might upload some scenery this evening.
